Healthy personal boundaries are the foundation of good relationships. Being in touch with subtle energy provides a way of knowing re: boundaries that goes beyond simply thinking about them. We feel them! In fact I am sure you already have but just were unaware of exactly what it was you were experiencing. Being aware of the feeling of subtle energy gives you an effective way to maintain your boundaries. It also helps you to know when they are not being respected by others.
How to Know When You are Experiencing Subtle Energy?
Here is one way…
1. Do you ever get exhausted after spending time with certain people?
People who lack energy look outside themselves to “recharge their batteries.” When you are with them, they can take your energy to replenish theirs. Healthy boundaries let you remain in your center and not be drained. Through consciously being in charge of your energy you are at choice whether to flow energy to another or not.
If we are at choice and connected to our own energy we can choose to flow energy to each other rather than compete for it. It is the unconscious competition that creates difficulties.
Losing Your Boundaries Through Entrainment
In addition to flowing energy between ourselves and others, we also entrain (match vibration) our energy with others. This is a natural phenomenon as we try to synch with others. We do this so we can communicate, share an even exchange of energy, or feel close.
This process is unconscious and works well when two or more reasonably healthy people with good personal boundaries are present. If a person is deeply troubled, or not taking responsibility for their issues or has a lot of unhealed pain or trauma, this unconscious entrainment will create problems.
In any interchange it is the stronger–not necessarily the healthier– energy that will prevail. Consequently relationships can suffer greatly due to unhealed and unconscious wounds and patterns.
